    COMMON QUESTIONS

IS IT MADE IN A REAL TUNA CAN?

Our artisan bees have sourced real tuna cans, and every can is hand-drilled right here in our hive. Don’t worry—no fish has ever been in these cans, and yes, the pedal is 100% vegan!

What is the Tuna circuit like?

The Tuna Fuzz is a 3-transistor fuzz that shares some similarities with the Octahive, but the tone can be quite different. The Tuna has a lot of volume and is very dynamic, delivering a sound that’s impressively close to vintage fuzzes. It also cleans up real nice.

How do I control the gain?

While the STINKER knob works as a master volume, the Tuna Fuzz cleans up real nice by using your guitar’s volume knob as a gain control. Just experiment with rolling back your guitar’s volume, and you’ll bee able to see how nice and dynamic this fuzz is.

Can I use a buffer beefore it?

While many of our circuits have no issues with buffers, we don’t recommend using a buffer before the Tuna Fuzz. That said, your best choice is to trust your ears—if it sounds good to you, it’s good!

    Is it true bypass?

    Yezzzzz!

Is the can strong enough for me to stomp on it?

Yes, the can is strong enough for you to stomp on without worry. While we wouldn’t recommend running a car over it, it should hold up just fine for normal gigs. The PCB is designed with most components mounted to it, preventing loose jacks or parts, and helping to make the enclosure extra rigid.
